Isabel Azorey

Isabel Castro
Healing runs in the family.
Vibra is run by Isabel Cristina Azorey and her daughter, Isabel Castro. One Isabel works with the body. The other works with the breath. Most days, they work in the same room.
Her mother
Thirty years in medicine, and everything after it.

Isabel Azorey
Functional medicine doctor, anaesthesiologist, mother.
What she does
- A long conversation about how you sleep, how you eat and what brought you
- Hands-on work, explained before it starts
- Thirty years of deciding what is worth doing and what is not
“I loved seeing people happy… more than seeing people worried about going into surgery.” Translated from Spanish.
What stayed with her was the waiting room.
Most of those thirty years were as an anaesthesiologist. She was good at it. What stayed with her was the waiting room, full of people afraid of what came next.
So she trained again, this time in holistic medicine, and opened a house in the forest where people arrive tired instead of afraid. She does not speak English. She does not need to. Her daughter is always beside her.
Isabel
She took the other half.

Together
How they work together.
On your second morning you sit with both of them for about an hour and a half. Her mother works. Isabel translates and takes notes.
What they learn there shapes the rest of your week: which sessions make sense for you, how long, when to leave you alone.

House rules
Every family has them. These are Vibra’s.
Four lines, and the house actually runs on them.
- 01Inside these doors, everything's fine.
Whatever you arrived with can wait outside. Nobody here needs anything from you.

- 02The table is part of it.
Three meals a day, and both Isabels eat with you. Most people come to the table, some do not. Both are fine.

- 03The forest decides.
Some days it rains at exactly the wrong moment. The day moves around it.

- 04You leave with something in your hands.
A written note from your last conversation, and a call thirty days later to see what held.

The spa, Dr. Isabel’s treatments, the yoga and the sound bath were genuinely incredible experiences, deeply restorative, and deeply professional.
Diana Rojas
Translated from Spanish.
The table
Three meals a day, cooked at the house.
Both of them eat with you. It is the one part of the day everybody is in the same room for, and nobody has to be.
- Breakfast, lunch and dinner, every day you are here.
- Cooked in the house kitchen, not brought in.
- Tell Isabel before you come what you do not eat.
Fifteen years
More than fifteen years of receiving people.
Long enough to know that most people arrive more tired than they think, that the first night is always the hardest to sleep, and that the rain always comes when you have just hung the laundry.
